Forever 21
Project Name and Location: | Forever 21 Saratoga Springs, NY |
Client: | Forever 21 Retail, Inc. |
Type of Contract: | New Mall Retail Store |
Contract Amount: | $555,754 |
Project Description: | “We demolished two stores and followed Forever 21’s plans”, Deanna Hitchcock, F. H. Alexander’s project superintendent, explains. There was a lot of finish work, and we had to be very accurate. It is retail, so it has to look good. The biggest challenge was working on a tight ten-week schedule in an occupied mall. We often worked after hours to minimize the impact on other tenants.” |
Project Feedback: | Ed Knutt of EAK & Associates, a national construction consulting and project management company for retail clients, notes, “First time builders on our stores always have challenges interpreting prints; we expect a learning curve. F. H. Alexander did an exceptional job with minimal assistance and interpretation from us. They maintained the construction schedule and contract — a big thing for a new contractor. Their attention to detail, professionalism and attention to our needs were very good. They went over and above what they were contracted to do and maintained a positive relationship with us.
There were no change orders on the job.” Mark Brenenstuhl, the Operations Manager for the Wilton Mall adds, “Frank Alessandrini spent a great deal of time here — which says a lot for F. H. Alexander. It is very rare to have an owner dealing with issues — I was very impressed. They have done several projects for us, and we have worked with four or five project managers. They all have a great attitude and mindset. Our relationship keeps getting better.” |
